Report: WiMAX unlikely to challenge 3G in Asia-Pacific this decade

Although telecoms are introducing Broadband Wireless Technology WiMAX in the Asia-Pacific market to compete with 3G, it likely won't pose a threat to 3G for five years, In-Stat reports. The technology will take time to mature, the research firm said.
