Alcatel broadcasts mobile TV using S-band
Alcatel said Tuesday that it successfully demonstrated Europe's first broadcast of live TV channels on handsets in S-band. The test used the new DVB-SH standard, which lets mobile TV signals be broadcast from satellites and terrestrial transmitters directly to mobile phones.
