Microsoft settles with RealNetworks

Microsoft agreed to pay RealNetworks $460 million to settle an antitrust lawsuit dating back to December 2003 and will also pay $301 million to promote and distribute RealNetwork's music subscription service, Rhapsody. RealNetworks' claim against Microsoft was based on the software giant's practice of bundling its Media Player with its Windows software suite.
