Vodafone's Casa IPTV service hits Portuguese shores

Vodafone has introduced its IPTV platform to Portugal, with plans to make the 100-channel, HD-enabled service widely available to users of its DSL broadband service by September. Though Vodafone has 5.6 million mobile customers, its two-year-old fixed-broadband business has a relatively modest base. The telecom hopes the IPTV service will boost its numbers.
