Gabelli, Cingular win approval to bid for wireless licenses
Wall Street money manager Mario Gabelli received permission to enter an upcoming FCC auction of wireless spectrum, despite the fact that he agreed to pay $130 million to settle charges that he defrauded the government in spectrum sales. Cingular Wireless. also received permission to bid.
