GE issues new GEnx engine inspections order
General Electric has called for another round of inspections for all of its GEnx engines on Boeing planes. These inspections will examine the part of the engine called the low pressure turbine; this section of the engine was determined to be the cause of an engine failure in Shanghai in September. "We're issuing a service bulletin within the next day or two to all the GEnx operators," said Rick Kennedy, a spokesman for GE.
