Opinion: Frontier makes "clever move" to boost direct booking
Frontier made what airline blogger Brett Snyder calls a "very clever move" recently to boost its online direct ticket sales. The airline offers its lowest fares on its own site as well as third-party travel sites, but fares booked through third parties come with reduced benefits, including fewer frequent flier miles, no advance seat assignment and higher fees. This new policy is risky due to the potential for higher complaints as customers adjust, but ultimately Snyder says it's "the best option out there" for the airline.
