Privacy groups time report to influence FTC on COPPA
A report sponsored by Common Sense Media and the Center for Digital Democracy says that a majority of parents and other adults don't like their children's behavior being tracked online or through mobile devices, even if it's anonymous data being collected. More than 9 in 10 parents are opposed to specific tactics such as location tracking and asking information about children's friends. The report is intended to influence the Federal Trade Commission as it considers expanding the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
