Street musicians get corporate sponsorship with Axe
Luke Ryan, who has been playing guitar in New York's Grand Central Terminal for 30 years, now has a corporate sponsor: Unilever's Axe. The brand is paying about 20 street musicians and college bands a reported $1,000 each to put up signs for Axe Instinct deodorant, give out samples and sing "Look Good in Leather," which is featured in Axe's TV campaign.
