TSA to extend contract for screener testing
The Transportation Security Administration will extend its contract with Personnel Decisions Research Institutes for at least a year. The TSA says it needs more time to transition the employee assessment management system to a new DHS enterprise solution to continue testing screeners. In the fall, it plans to switch to its own Enterprise Talent Management System platform. "The continued services would also avoid the interruption of testing for the officers. Any deviation would impact operations at the 450 airports that are required to certify/re-certify annually the 45,000 officers in order to meet their certification requirements necessary to maintain their jobs," the TSA stated in a written notice.
