Hospital network seen as model for health care reform
Brent James is the chief quality officer at Intermountain Healthcare, a network that President Barack Obama has touted as a model for health care reform. James says science and research have produced an array of treatments for various ailments, which eventually become subject to a doctor's informed intuition about which direction is best for a patient. James is optimistic that health care can be improved if medicine moves away from a fee-for-service system and toward a fee-for-health system.
