Study: Cancer patients see no benefit from parenteral hydration
Hospice patients with advanced cancer do not benefit from parenteral hydration, U.S. researchers reported in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. Data showed patients receiving hydration therapy and those on a placebo saw improvements in overall dehydration symptoms and quality of life, and median survival was not significantly different for either group.
