Lupus may double risk of developing preeclampsia
Researchers assessed the pregnancies of nearly 225,000 women in British Columbia and found that those diagnosed with lupus had twice the risk of experiencing preeclampsia. No statistically significant link was found between prenatal use of disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs and preeclampsia. The findings appear in the journal Arthritis Care & Research.
