Pravastatin-paroxetine combo raises blood glucose levels in study

Combining the drugs pravastatin and paroxetine significantly increased blood glucose levels by up to 48 mg/dL in patients with diabetes, experts reported in the Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics. The findings underscore the importance of carefully monitoring the effects of drugs on blood glucose metabolism, researchers said.
