Trial vaccine targets HPV to stop precancerous lesions
Researchers said an experimental vaccine that targets human papillomavirus successfully stopped precancerous lesions in the vulva from turning into cancer. The study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, showed 60% of patients with vulvar dysplasia showed a response from the vaccine and 25% had their lesions disappear completely.
