Childhood vaccines safe for children with IEM, study shows

Children with inborn errors of metabolism can safely be given vaccines against common childhood diseases, according to data from a Kaiser Permanente study. The study found children with IEM and controls received vaccinations at the same rate and at the same time, with no difference in risk for an emergency department visit or hospitalization.
