NP remembers lessons learned as single mom on Medicaid
Single mom and pediatric nurse practitioner Diana King says she vowed "never again" after she was forced to take her feverish daughter to the emergency department because her pediatrician was out of town. She worked her way through nursing school and says her background now guides her when she see families on Medicaid at her clinic in St. Joseph, Mo.
