High school seniors use opioid drugs, but not for pain

About 12% of high school seniors surveyed said they had used opioid drugs for nonmedical reasons, most often for relaxation or getting high. The study of more than 12,400 seniors found drugs of choice included hydrocodone, oxycodone, hydromorphone, meperidine, morphine and codeine.
