Inattention better predicts school performance than hyperactivity

Canadian researchers said only 29% of children with ADHD who showed attention problems were able to complete high school compared with 89% of those who didn't have such problems. By contrast, 40% of children with ADHD who exhibited hyperactivity achieved a high school diploma compared with 77% of those who didn't have such behavior, according to data that will be published in the American Journal of Psychiatry.
