Alabama district calls on teachers, parents to pay for supplies

School administrators in Huntsville, Ala., are adopting many cost-saving measures to offset budget cuts this year, including charging teachers a penny for each photocopy they make over their allotted 500 per month. School officials are also calling on parents to pitch in for supplies to help teachers, who did not receive any state money for school supplies this year, and are already using their own money for materials.
