Scientists develop graphene-like nanostructure for improved Li-ion capacity
Chinese researchers have developed a nano-based graphene-like structure that could expand the capacity of lithium-ion batteries. The material promotes "huge surface areas, facile lithium-ion diffusion and electron transport, as well as open channels that buffer large volume variation during cycling processes," said lead researcher Yi Xie of the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei.
