Report: Plastic recycling in the U.S. on the rise

In a report put together with the Association of Postconsumer Plastic Recyclers, the American Chemistry Council says recycling in the U.S. increased by 115 million pounds of plastic from 2006 to 2007. "We are pleased to see plastics recycling continue to climb. Plastics recycling continues to grow because people recognize that plastics are a valuable resource -- too valuable to waste," said Steve Russell, the ACC's plastics division managing director.
