Senator wants to ban BPA in children's food containers

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., has introduced a bill that seeks to ban the production of bisphenol A food containers for children 3 and younger. "Some of the most vulnerable people at risk from ingesting the chemical are kids," Schumer said. The bill tasks the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to conduct tests, with violators facing civil and criminal charges.
