New guidelines for Spanish grammar are released

With the support of 21 organizations in the U.S., Latin America and other areas, the Spanish Royal Academy released a 4,000-page Spanish grammar guide -- the first revised Spanish language guidelines to be published in 80 years. According to educators and researchers, the most significant change is that the guidelines acknowledge grammar used by Spanish speakers in Latin America, reflecting the fact that most of the world's Spanish speakers live outside of Spain.
