EnteroMedics announces layoffs

EnteroMedics said it will layoff 22 employees, or about 40% of its staff, in an effort to help save capital after a clinical trial of its Maestro obesity-treatment device yielded disappointing results, altering plans for applying for FDA approval to market the device.
