Judge dismisses lawsuits against Medtronic over heart device
A district court judge in Minnesota cited pre-emption in her decision to dismiss 600 lawsuits filed against Medtronic over its Sprint Fidelis defibrillator leads. The company recalled the defibrillator leads in October 2007 following reports of concerns over the possibility of leads fracturing.
