The number of visitors to Las Vegas rose 1.8% to 3.35 million in September, compared with 3.29 million in the same month last year, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Scott Russell, senior manager of research for the LVCVA, said the city is on track to exceed its previous record of 39.2 million visitors in 2007. "We'll definitely make 2012 a record year," Russell said.
