Mass. commission approves new casino strategic plan
Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission have voted to approve a strategic plan for proposed casinos in the state. According to the 170-page document, the first casino in the state could open in three or four years. "The completion of this comprehensive and meticulous strategic plan represents another crucial milestone achieved by the commission as we steadily progress toward the arrival of expanded gaming and the establishment of an effective regulatory system," commission Chairman Stephen Crosby said.
