Ohio voters approve casino measure Issue 3 with 53% of vote

Ohio voters approved Issue 3 to legalize casinos in the state's four major cities of Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Toledo. Issue 3 supporters said Ohio voters recognized the economic benefits of expanded gambling in the Buckeye State. "They recognize the economic situation that we're in and believe this would be a great way to generate jobs and economic growth," said Bob Tenenbaum, spokesman for Penn National Gaming and Cleveland Cavaliers majority owner Dan Gilbert.
