Wynn withdraws bid for N.Y. racetrack
Steve Wynn surprised competitors on Wednesday by withdrawing his bid to build a casino at the Aqueduct racetrack in Queens, N.Y. Wynn, the chief executive officer of Wynn Resorts, had proposed a Las Vegas-style gambling and entertainment complex for the racetrack that was reportedly more expensive than other bids. Five bidders remain for the project, including Penn National Gaming. Final offers are due on Friday.
