GPC advised that production from the Galoc field, offshore the Philippines, has been temporarily suspended with the FPSO storage being full as a result of an ongoing delay to a scheduled offloading. This delay is due to a problem with the export hose, a replacement for which has been sourced and is being mobilized from Singapore which will allow off loading during week commencing November 9th.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction (HDEC) built a bridge over its own troubled water. After a stint in bankruptcy and six years in a debt rehabilitation program, the company has emerged as one of South Korea's largest construction and civil engineering companies. HDEC has built industrial, infrastructure, commercial, hospitality, and multifamily residential projects (under the Hillstate brand) in about 50 countries. HDEC was the former parent of Hyundai Group, Korea's largest chaebol (or conglomerate), which was broken up under government orders.
