G2S Protocol Authorized by New South Wales Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Gaming industry protocol standards developed by the Gaming Standards Association took another major step forward recently when GSA's Game to System (G2S) standard was authorized by the New South Wales Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority for use in NSW.

The decision was made following the successful Gaming Communication Technology Workshop in April, in Sydney, Australia. The workshop was co-hosted by GSA and the GTA (Gaming Technologies Association) and reviewed recent changes in technology and how Australasian jurisdictions might be affected by those changes and by the application of GSA protocols.

Gaming Control Authority Manager Gaming Technology Luke Freeman said, "Next generation technology products have the potential to enhance the integrity of gaming and responsible practices. In addition to GSA, I would like to acknowledge the contribution that the Australian Gaming Technologies Association made to the G2S development effort."

GSA President Peter DeRaedt said, "The recognition of GSA's work by the Gaming Control Authority in NSW, Australia could not have come at a better time. It endorses what we as an industry have been working on for so long. This endorsement will revitalize the local industry enabling them to offer exciting new products and services."

DeRaedt added, "G2S was built by the industry for the industry, and this authorization takes G2S and the incredible possibilities it holds to another important corner of the world."
