UAE's first LEED Gold hospital to be 50% more energy efficient
The United Arab Emirates has unveiled its first green hospital in Dubai. The hospital is LEED Gold certified and is expected to be 50% more energy efficient than buildings of the same size. The building is partially made from recycled material and maximizes use of natural daylight. It features "a solar-powered hot water system capable of producing 1,000 [liters] per day, and a system that collects condensation from air conditioners and uses it for irrigation."
