N.Y. prosecutors charge supervisors, subcontractor with manslaughter
Three construction supervisors and a subcontractor will face manslaughter charges for the deaths of two firefighters in 2007 at the Deutsche Bank building in New York. Prosecutors say gross negligence in dismantling the building, which was damaged in 2001, played a role in the deaths. They will not seek criminal charges against the city, which has conceded that it made key mistakes and has since instituted reforms.
