States assemble list of projects ahead of stimulus package

Tennessee officials have identified $850 million in projects as potential candidates for a federal economic stimulus package. The list includes nine road and bridge projects in the southeastern part of the state. Meanwhile, Georgia officials have compiled a list of projects that would cost $3.44 billion. "We wanted to put everything out there that we had," a Georgia Department of Transportation spokesman said. "Obviously, we would be more than appreciative for any money they could give us."
