California officials probe Bay Bridge incident

Workers on Wednesday welded replacement parts into a section of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Strong winds caused a crossbar and two steel rods to snap off a section of the bridge that had recently been prepared, officials say. State officials say they must test the bridge before it reopens, and they are investigating the incident. At this point, it is unclear when the bridge will reopen.
