Report: Construction equipment theft highest in California
A new report on the theft of construction equipment from the LoJack Corp. indicates that the company recovered $15,700,000 in stolen equipment assets in 2005, an increase of 23% over 2004. The company reports that leading targets include popular equipment like loaders and skid steers, and that the top five states with the highest theft were California, Florida, Texas, Arizona and Georgia.
