Urban sprawl concerns cloud Florida toll-road proposal
Plans to build three major toll-roads and a jet fuel pipeline to Orlando International Airport that will link Central Florida with big east coast highways has spurred fear of community and environmental loss. "Virtually, all these roads pass through must-save places in Central Florida," said Linda Chapin, director of the University of Central Florida's Metropolitan Center for Regional Studies.
