Work moves ahead on Lincoln Center renovation

Planners have formally approved a design to transform much of New York's Lincoln Center and construction on the project is due to begin this week. The design, from Diller, Scofidio + Renfro and FX Fowle, represents the first major changes to the center since it was built in the 1960s, and it will include rehabilitation of interiors and more contemporary and transparent facades for the buildings along the street.
