Katrina recovery effort will accelerate, Obama says

The White House is coordinating the roles of federal agencies and state and local governments as part of an effort to speed New Orleans' recovery from Hurricane Katrina. During his weekly radio address, President Barack Obama said the administration has also created dispute-settlement programs to accelerate the recovery and has freed hundreds of millions of dollars that have yet to be distributed.
