Seattle firm tracks stimulus spending
A Web site set up by a Seattle company tracks stimulus spending and offers more up-to-date information than a similar government-sponsored site, observers say. Onvia's Recovery.com site tracks millions of government contracts. The company then sells the information to prospective contractors. "Whether you are selling paving services for highways, or you sell copy paper, wireless routers, we let you know when someone at any level of government wants to buy what you're selling," Chief Information Officer Eric Gillespie said.
