CityCenter buildings aim for LEED status with innovative green features

Sustainable features included in the MGM Mirage's CityCenter development include water conservation technology, on-site natural gas generation and a large-scale recycling operation. Casinos in the development will include slot machines that are also air conditioning units. Some buildings in the development are designed to achieve LEED gold or silver status. Cindy Ortega, senior vice president of energy and environmental services, has led MGM Mirage's effort to make the development environmentally friendly.
