MGM Mirage gains breathing space, Station Casinos still struggles

MGM Mirage last week said it can now pay any amount owed under its CityCenter completion guarantees. In addition, language from the company's audits that question its ability to operate as a going concern have been removed. MGM Mirage also said it can now fulfill its financial commitments through 2010. Meanwhile, the future of Station Casinos, which operates more than a dozen Nevada casino, remains unclear because it has not been making interest payments on its debt.
