Louisiana will push to speed approval process for Corps projects
Louisiana officials are pushing for reforms that would allow the Army Corps of Engineers to proceed more quickly on coastal restoration projects in Louisiana. The approval process was hastened after Hurricane Katrina hit the state, but the Corps was recently forced to return to a lengthy approval system mandated by Congress.
