Survey: Quality often not top priority of hospital boards

Harvard researchers said a survey of hospital board chairpersons showed 44% ranked quality among the two highest priorities on their CEO's performance evaluation. The data showed 72% regularly reviewed quality dashboards and 63% included quality performance on every board agenda.
