Younger Americans show greater intake of added sugars
Americans 60 and older consumed fewer calories from added sugars in food and drinks compared with those ages 20 to 59, CDC data from 2005 through 2010 showed. Researchers also found that men ate 335 calories from added sugars daily, compared with 239 calories for women. The results appear in the National Center for Health Statistics Data Brief.
