Older women may have worsening depression, study says
About 20% of women 65 and older have persistently high or increasing symptoms of depression as they age, according to a study in the Archives of General Psychiatry. Data showed women with severe depression also were more likely to have diabetes, obesity, heart attack and physical disabilities than women with few depression symptoms.
