Dance classes can boost teen girls' mental health
Participating in dance classes twice a week for eight months improved mental health in teenage girls with mild mood, self-esteem or other "internalizing problems," according to a study published in the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. Researchers said the majority of girls in the dance intervention group deemed the classes a positive experience and reported improvements in their own health.
