Hotels offer free stays to parents of children in nearby hospital

Equis Hospitality Management, which owns several Homewood Suites and Marriott hotels around St. Louis, says it is setting aside up to six rooms per night at its Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel in the city's Richmond Heights neighborhood in order to provide a free stay for parents of children who are patients at the nearby Ranken Jordan pediatric care hospital. The hospital's president said many of the children at the hospital come from poor families, and the hotel will also offer free shuttle service to and from the hospital, in addition to providing free nights at its other St. Louis hotels for parents.
