Oshkosh Corp. has received a follow-on order valued at $1.06 billion for additional mine-resistant ground vehicles for use in Afghanistan. With two billion-dollar orders on the books, the company has added hundreds of employees in Wisconsin and brought back 600 furloughed workers at a Pennsylvania plant. Oshkosh is ramping up factories to produce 1,000 vehicles per month by December, a pace it plans to maintain through February.
